L&Q Wellness opened in June 2023 in Hialeah Gardens with one goal: give our neighbors preventive care that isn't rushed, in the language they're most comfortable speaking.
Our story
Our founders, nurse practitioner Lourdes Quintero and practice manager Leonel Quintero, grew up in Hialeah. Between them they spent nearly twenty years in busy urgent-care and hospital settings, watching patients leave with prescriptions but no real understanding of their health.
They opened L&Q Wellness to do it differently: longer visits, labs explained in plain words, follow-up calls, and a team that speaks English and Spanish. Today we see patients of all ages from Hialeah Gardens, Hialeah, Medley, Miami Lakes, and Doral.
We're intentionally small. You'll see the same faces each visit, and your provider will remember what you talked about last time.
Time to talk
New-patient visits are booked for 40 minutes, follow-ups for 20.
Plans in writing
Every visit ends with a written plan in English or Spanish.

We follow established clinical guidelines and avoid unproven treatments.

Licensing & standards
- All providers and nurses hold active Florida licenses, verifiable through the Florida Department of Health.
- Clinic operates under physician supervision as required for the services we provide.
- Lab specimens are processed by a CLIA-certified reference laboratory.
- We follow HIPAA privacy and security rules for all patient information.
